um...why wouldn't you want more prevention of school violence?

I am a high school student from North Carolina. A few weeks ago I was not thinking and stuck my 5 inck old timer pocket knife in my pocket and I walked around school with it all day. Now this was an accident that should have never happened on my part but just to show you I could have been wanting to hurt someone and no one even knew i had it .
