It should just be the word Oddessy
i'm not sure what the name means, maybe if i know what it ment.... it would be different.
It is a little arcane. Think about it in terms of who you would like to be listened with on someone's playlist. But remember that the music is the main thing1
I always thought it was kind of confusing. The music's great, but when you look at the name, you just stand there drooling in stupidity trying to figure out how to pronounce it.

I'm thinking whatever the band feels the name should be is cool with me - I'm in it for the music
Here are the definitions of an odyssey 1 : a long wandering or voyage usually marked by many changes of fortune 2 : an intellectual or spiritual wandering or quest. If thats what you want to convey then use Odyssey or a word with similar meaning.
I'm just trying to envision the name being said on the radio and when i hear it in my head coming out of the djs mouth....it just sounds kind of lame. sorry.
Well for me it always just seems hard for me to link the way the band name sounds to the way it's written... but if you don't change it, I will still like it : )

I like your name, anyone with sense would know a DJ would have a pronunciation and I think if you have a great product (your music) that is all that truly matters. Its kinda confusing. Is it supposed to be just the letters like O-D-Y-C or is it supposed to sound like Odyssey?
I never like it when a band changes their name, I alphabetize my CDs, and when the name changes, the newer CDs aren't located next to the older ones anymore. Also, if people for some reason don't know you changed it, they might not recognize the new name as being connected to the old name/band/music anymore.

Personally, I thought it was an acronym at first. Names need market appeal. I had never heard of you until you friended me on MySpace. Oddessy is a great name. I don't like the name. It conjures images of N'Sync to me. If you want a word, just go ahead and spell it - don't try to be more clever than everybody else.
I like the name alot, but I think that some people if they don't already know it think that it's O.D.Y.C., and not Odyssey. I'm not even sure of the significance there. Is it an acronym of some sort, or is it just for style points?
I think a band's name shouldn't detract from the music they put out...but instead enhance it. If I saw that a band named ODYC was opening for someone, I'd show up late just assuming they stunk. Sorry if that sounds mean but that's how I feel.
It's a little goofy and not at all immediately pronounciable by someone who doesn't already know your name.
why change it? lots of bands have names that are silly, it's the music that makes them and the unity of the band that counts. Everyone knows you by ODYC and I think you should stick to it and not let opinions make your decision. Your music is awesome.
The name doesn't sound that interesting. Sometimes if I hear the name of a band, it just makes me want to listen to the music, you need a name that gets people thinking and interested.
It sounds like a mini-van, a restaurant at the Mall of America, or an 80's boy-band. Sorry...
it's a cool name, i just don't think it fits you guys all that well. when you think of the actual meaning of the word "odyssey" i would picture a band like Dream Theater or Rush or something. but the biggest drawback is that when you look at it, it's too easy to read it as "O-DIKE".
