Really Joey sucks! Travis are the best! !
I'm a straight ahead jazz fan and thus love Art Blakey, Tony Williams, and others, but for my money that young man who plays the skins for the Deftones, Abe Cunningham, is the best ever. He is an incredible talent. There are not many how add grace notes to percussion the way he does. Just incredible!

Does anyone here play drums? Travis is good...for punk.... Joey is pretty damn good for metal... and in the end metal drummers actually HAVE TO compete with other drummers who HAVE TO compete with other heavy metal drummers. Not like in punk where playing your instrument isn't nearly as important as your lack of commitment to anything.

Marco Minnemann is by far the best in my opinion. No one comes close to his limb independance and time signature control. But of course I cant argue with Buddy Rich the father of rudamental drumming. Or names like Bozzio, Gadd, Steve Smith, Weckl, Dennis Chambers, Thomas Lang, the list goes on. These other two chumps are embarrasing

only one drummer has ever made heads turn completely around thats Buddy Rich. Besides like it or not Jazz is more technical and complex to play. Nursery School and Pre School drumming is Rock and Roll. Comes a time where more advanced drumming shines. I will take Buddy Rich hands down as the drummers drummer. Buddy Rich
