The Jets game highlighted even more why PM is the MVP ... on several levels. Skills, leadership, professionalism...and a team player, even when he doesn't totally agree.
Manning has the worst running attack? Don't think so. Secondly, the Colts have one of the top ranked defenses. If you watched this 14-1 season they won many games because of missed field goals and because of their defensive stands in the 4th. Not taking anything from Manning but lets not over do it. Are you going off stats/record alone or do you look at who is most valuable to his team? I think if you look at all of these criteria you have to look to Favre or Brees. Take the "name impact" out of the equation.

The colts would have won the Jets game if Manning and the starters wasn't pulled. Te loss was not Mannings and the starters fault, it was the coaches fault. How can you penalise Manning for what the coach did. MANNING MVP....

No player has a bigger role in his team's success than Manning. Without him the Colts would be lucky to win 4 games this season. I would like to see brees,manning,romo,rivers or rodgers put numbers like bretts up at 40.but then again the only one of them that would play at 40 is manning because,he is all about the numbers that is why they dont run the rock.

Manning MVP, not brees, and it's not just because of his defense, cause if you remember, saints defense has more defensive touchdowns than the colts, so manning is better than brees
Favre is MVP. Players on BOTH sides of the ball say he raised their confidence and their game. MVP year stat wise but don't just look at the stats. AP had another good year but without Favre at QB the Vikings probably don't even make the pkayoffs. Those of you who say look at the offensive line he had should check how many times he was sacked.
All in the running deserve MVP consideration. However, as good a team as the Vikings have they don't win their division and probably don't make the playoffs without Favre at QB. 33 TDs only 7 Ints. Raised the level of play of entire team. That's what a MVPs do. Number 4 for #4.

I think Philp Rivers should be a MVP top five
People here keep talking about stats, well, yes we look at stats, and thats why we chose Peyton Manning for MVP. Neither Rivers or Brees compare in stats. Not to mention RIvers is the biggest cry baby EVER in the NFL. So they won 9 in a row, win 14 in a row then we will talk. Nobody does it better than Manning and the high power Colts!!!!

Ok, I like Favre but seriously! Some of the comments being made about Manning are totally uncalled for. If you had a chance to get Manning in anyway, your team would pick him up in a heartbeat.
